Our school uses the Accelerated Reader programme to promote a love of reading while helping pupils make real, measurable progress. The programme is highly individualised, ensuring each child reads books at the level that is right for them, supporting confidence and maximum improvement. Regular screening helps us set each pupil’s correct reading level, along with a clear reading target to work towards. When pupils achieve their target, they are rewarded with a prize from the principal, adding extra motivation and excitement. To support daily reading habits, our school library is open every morning, and pupils begin each day with 25 minutes of reading, creating a calm, positive start to the school day.
